How to distinguish carbon film resistance from metal film resistance

1. The carbon film resistor has a negative temperature coefficient, while the metal film resistor has a small positive temperature coefficient;

2. The appearance of carbon film resistors is mostly yellow or pink, while the appearance of metal film resistors is mostly blue;
3. By viewing the color of the protective paint: the black protective film is a carbon film resistor, and the bright white protective film is a metal film resistor.
